With their use of repetitive heavy rolling rhythms and bombastic execution (sans vocals) Gore pioneered a new style of music for the time. Gore?s sound is a monolithic one, uncompromising and seemingly singular in its vision. Although the music is exclusively instrumental the first two albums all contain lyric sheets ? ostensibly meant to add a ?horrorshow? element to the music and make it all the more ominous and hardcore.
For the first time ever these recordings have been painstakingly remastered and are now available again to amaze, overwhelm and bewilder! Each disc of this double-cd set contains the remastered album in all its glory PLUS unreleased bonus material from the same era as the album. This 2xcd set contains 43 songs in total! In the tradition of quality Southern Lord packaging these albums are packaged with a 32 page booklet that contains several never before seen photos plus meticulous liner notes from bassist: Rob Frey.
